Let me start off by saying that the vendor I purchased this from was A+. Absolutely Stellar. I had an incorrect mailing address and once I contacted them, they were immediately responsive and they changed the address and shipped it fast! The game however is subpar compared to the last two iterations which I both own. The camera is just sloppy and sometimes just gets your character lost offscreen altogether! It's difficult to tell which character you are playing. The heroes are definitely nerfed compared to the last two versions of this game. Captain America's shield ricochet off of walls was a default move not a special move before. The same goes for many other characters. Only thing consistent is that Wolverine levels up pretty quickly and you can hack and slash your way through the game fairly consistently with him.The leveling up system is just confusing and downright bizarre in UA3. Not very intuitive. There is no tutorial this time around and the developers should have spent more time with an instructional rather than useless character interactions and dialogue. Leveling up is a combination of ISO-8 crystal adjustment to build up your character and teams. All of it is confusing and clunky. I bought this game so my 9-year old and I can have some button mashing fun like in Super Smash with the cooperative team based aspect you find in the Lego games. However the Lego games do the character power combinations so much better! This game is just plain messy and seems rushed, unpolished and unbalanced. The more you power up your characters, the more difficult the challenges become. If I wanted to spend most of the game playing around with character menus I would have just bought a Madden game. Enemies are overpowered and just disappear off screen and off camera and you have to find them stuck in a wall somewhere just to defeat them and clear the level. Your characters always seem underpowered and never seem to be able to defeat simple attacks.Replaying lower levels with your juiced up team doesn't feel like you've accomplished anything since when you acquire all of your skills, you're still dependent on that dumb ISO-8 system to make your team even remotely competitive.Overall, I would say pass on this and get any one of the Marvel Lego games if you want some button mashing fun with your favorite superheroes. The camera angles are terrible, they don't zoom in to catch the action and are downright glitchy. The gameplay is cumbersome and needs work. The load times are slow and take way too long for a 2019 game. The leveling up system is unrewarding and feels like you did absolutely nothing. Ultimate Alliance 3 gets a "D" for disappointing.
